Treatment:
Our video will be both narrative and have lip synching (performance). The narrative side will follow the story of the song almost word for word and will have a main character (Ellie) who plays the part of Lily, then some sub characters, two boys who are both looking to go out with Ellie and then another sub character (Bridget) who plays Lily’s friend and wants to go out with one of the boys. The idea follows the literal narrative of the song and we thought this was helpful as there was no video for the music video so it helped us with our concept.
Our lip synching will take place in a number of areas with a number of costumes, as a group we decided this would be a good idea as it would create an ever changing atmosphere and keep the audience interested. We have planned on using a range of shots also as to not keep it boring.
Overall we hope to create an upbeat, quirky and quite fun atmosphere. As our video is aimed at young girls (16-21) so by keeping our characters young and fresh it will easily relate to them. As well as this the upbeat song and quirky style of Lily Allen herself helps to keep it interesting and fun.
