Oasis Digipak Example - Sinead Makins

I have researched into some digipak examples and have chosen to choose the Oasis digipak below. They use a variety of the conventions used to make a digipak successful.

As well as on the front the album name, band name and the record label s on the spine of the digipak, so if the Cd's are stacked in stores instead of picking up the CD the Customers will find it simpler to just read the spine of the digipak. When the band perform their main instruments they use are the guitar so on the album cover there is a picture of a guitar that only shows the bottom half, which relates to the convention of visual images. On the back of the digipak contains the track listing, a visual image of the top half of the guitar which shows the bands creativity as they split the guitar in half. Also on the back is the bar code used for scanning when customers buy the album. There is a bit of background information in the top left corner of the back of the digipak which is also another convention. there is also the website in small print at the bottom. Inside, where the CD is attached shows the track listing again, which saves time for the customer closing the digipak to search for a specific song track number. overall, the colouring of this digipak works well as they are all of similar shades and although a variety of colour is good no other colour would be needed on this as it would be out of place. The use of different font and font size is effective as the most important text stands out the most e.g. band name.
